Getting Started

Complete instructions for installing AutoTools, setting everything up prior to your first batch job, description of the system requirements, etc. Also includes instructions for registering the software.

The Interface

Describes the use of the windows and menus in PrePress AutoTools. If you're not sure what something is for, this section should explain it.

Batch Processing

Explains what batch processing is all about, and offers a detailed description of every step of the PrePress AutoTools batch process.

Features (a.k.a. Tasks)

Documents the five central features in PrePress AutoTools, accessible through the Tasks window. Those are: Spot Colors, Traps, Knockouts, Images, and Printing. Includes information on what each Task does, how it does it, and when it should be used (and when it shouldn't).

Preferences

Explains the preferences which are available in the Preferences window, which is accessed under the Edit menu.

Advanced

Technical reference on the advanced features of PrePress AutoTools. Includes complete explanation of all four types of Filter Script, guidelines for writing custom filters (it's very easy), and some general Frontier reference information.

Troubleshooting

Possible solutions to the problems you might face when running PrePress AutoTools.
