Five Main Functions

AutoTools has five main functions that it can perform during batch processing. These functions can be run individually, or any number of them can be run at the same time.

  • Spot Colors
List and edit all spot colors in all XPress documents at one time and in one window.

  • Trapping
Your trap preferences can overwrite the prefs in every XPress document.

  • Knockouts
Ensure that white page elements will always 'knock out' of colored elements.

  • Image Tests
Update the document's image links, and run the images through a series of special tests.

  • Printing
Batch print QuarkXPress files, create PostScript files, EPS files, or hard copies.

The window to the right is a screen shot of the actual Tasks window in PrePress AutoTools.

To run a single task, just drag and drop any number of files or folders onto a tasks button.

To run multiple tasks, select the tasks you want to run by clicking on them, and then click 'Go!'
